During a media conference yesterday in New York, dressed in a crystal decorated Gucci blazer, Elton John declared to the world he will embark on one last tour prior to retirement. The tour, called 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road', will continue for three decades and will comprise 300 dates. To all of you Gucci addicts out there: prepare to drool since Elton has chosen the fashion house's Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, to make all of the glittery outfits to your tour's entirety.
To make the statement in a special event in New York's Gotham Hall, John wore
a habit Gucci Flora jacquard tailcoat adorned with countless hand-sewn crystals,
crystals and "Gucci enjoys Elton" emblazoned across the rear. In case the fitting
crystal bow tie, ruffle evening top and starry colors are a flavor of what is to
come if the tour kicks off September 8, Michele has produced a tour apparel to
rival John's Seventies point outfits by glitter king Bob Mackie.
Tickets for the farewell tour - that includes stops at Madison Square Garden Oct. 18-19 and L.A.'s Staples Center next Jan. 22-23 - will soon be available by means of a charge card pre-sale Thursday and an overall sale Feb. 2.
Sir Elton John has stated his "Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour" will span over 300 dates, such as stops in virtually every continent. Now, the Rocket Man has detailed a fresh leg of North American concerts to occur in late 2019.
Crossing 25 dates, the recently announced leg incorporates multiple Canadian dates from Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Toronto. He will also be seeing Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Boston, and Memphis with this specific run.
Tickets for the shows declared now go on sale Friday, October 5th.
