Charlie And The Chocolate Factory - What It's About

The undeniably eccentric and mysterious candy maker Willy Wonka is known throughout the world for both the deliciousness of his treats and the mysteriousness of their creation. The man himself is a total recluse, and nobody has ever been favored with a peek inside the chocolate factory where he works his magic. This all changes when Wonka announces a contest: He's hidden five golden tickets in five of his chocolate bars. The lucky winners who find them will receive the first ever tour of the chocolate factory, led by none other than Wonka himself.

Charlie Bucket is a boy who would like nothing better in the world than to find one of the elusive golden tickets. With the grandparents who care for him suffering from abject poverty, though, his family doesn't have the money to buy even a single Wonka Bar. When a fortunate windfall enables Charlie to buy one at last, he's astonished to see the glint of something magical lurking inside.

This makes Charlie one of the exclusive five winners invited into the chocolate factory. He - and the audience - will discover that the factory is a magical and delightful place, but also, perhaps, a deceptive one.
